The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested the wife of jailed gangster Karan Bhalla on charges of drug peddling, officials confirmed on Wednesday. She was allegedly caught with 225 grams of heroin while attempting to deliver the consignment.
A senior police officer identified the accused as 33-year-old Zara, who was apprehended in Northeast Delhi’s Welcome area. Karan Bhalla "Acting on intelligence reports about her involvement in drug trafficking, police gathered evidence linking her to the operation," the officer stated.
On Wednesday morning, based on a tip-off, officers set up a trap and intercepted her while she was en route to deliver the drugs in her car. She was caught in possession of 225 grams of heroin. Karan Bhalla
A fresh case has been registered against her under the relevant legal provisions.
